Why candid wedding photography?
It all started around 2009 when I came to Delhi and met another legend in this industry… around 2009 was just a beginning of professional candid photography in India.
Honestly, I kept growing with the growing trend of candid wedding photography and really enjoyed shooting many weddings alone.
How does your expertise in food and architecture photography contribute towards wedding photography? What do you enjoy more?
I never called myself a wedding photographer. It’s all about photography, and getting the right techniques done. I do a lot of food and architecture, and the techniques of commercial photography always helped me in covering weddings too!
Getting the right light, and working on a composition has helped me in capturing weddings from a different angle!
As a wedding photographer, what do you focus more on – emotions or rituals?
I have a big team who can focus on the rituals. But I’m always shooting during rituals too, and I focus on capturing the most beautiful emotions.
What do you love capturing more – preweddings or weddings?
I seriously love both!

Which is your favorite Wedding from last year?
We shot a beautiful wedding in Taj Damdama, Gurgaon last year. Ridhi & Ankit worked like a magic couple to us!
Your most memorable couple ever?
Shahid Kapoor and Mira for their dream wedding!
You’ve shot more than 400 wedding all across the globe! But which is that one location/destination you’d still love to shoot at?
I always love Rajasthan for its beautiful architecture, colors and surreal backdrops!
3 questions a couple must ask before booking a wedding photographer?
Its very important that you have a good interaction with your photographer before finalizing him or her.
3 most important aspects would be –
- Always seeing a full wedding gallery. Do not base your decision on a few pics only.
- How many albums will you be getting?
- Ask when will you get your photos!
Your top tips for couples and to-be brides?
Only one… Trust your photographer, and feed the wedding photography team with all the inputs and time they need!

I would probably have been a furniture designer if not a photographer!
